Nick Jr. Presents 'Ready, Set, Rescue!' -- A Five-Hour President's Day Marathon of Go, Diego, Go! Episodes on Monday, February 20
SOURCE: Nickeloden Press Release via Yahoo! news NEW YORK, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Diego and Dora team up to help bring two lost little bears back home on a new episode of Nick Jr.'s hit preschool series Go, Diego, Go!, entitled "Chito and Rita the Spectacled Bears." The new episode will premiere on Nick Jr. on Presidents Day, Monday, February 20 at 1:30 p.m. (ET/PT), during "Ready, Set, Rescue!" a five-hour marathon of Go, Diego, Go! episodes (9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., ET/PT). The marathon will also encore on Friday, February 24 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (ET/PT)...Nick Jr.'s President's Day marathon will run as follows (all times ET/PT):
- 9:00 a.m. - "Diego Saves the Mommy and Baby Sloth" - Sammy the Sloth visits Diego at the Animal Rescue Center when a call for help comes in. A mud slide is heading towards Mommy and Baby Sloth's tree! Sammy joins Diego on a rescue mission as they tiptoe slowly past the harpy eagles and sing "sube" to help Linda the Llama climb up a mountain. Using his Spotting Scope, Diego finds Mommy and Baby Sloth at the bottom of the mud slide. With Sammy on his back, Diego rides his mud board down the slide and helps them get to a safe tree.
- 9:30 a.m. - "Rainforest Race" - Animals from all over have come to compete in the rainforest race. There's a puma team, a howler monkey team, a spectacled bear team and a little Armadillo who wants to race but has no team. Diego and the viewers join Armadillo's team and set off to win by dodging falling nuts from the Shaky Nut Trees, and rolling down the Muddy Mud Hill. At the last Big Mountain obstacle, Armadillo takes the lead as she digs a tunnel and we sing the "excava" song. Will they win the race?!
- 10:00 a.m. - "Chinta The Baby Chinchilla" - Chinta the Baby Chinchilla is hanging on a tree branch over a river - and chinchillas don't swim! Diego transforms Rescue Pack into a hang-glider and catches her before she falls in the water. Now Diego has to get Chinta back to her family on Chinchilla Mountain. First they jump through the cactus field to get away from a puma, then find their way through a dark cave by using Chinta's sharp hearing, and finally hop up Chinchilla Mountain singing the "brinca" song.
- 10:30 a.m. - "Journey to Jaguar Mountain" -Baby Jaguar wants to impress his Mommy and climb to the top of Jaguar Mountain, but only BIG jaguars have ever made it to the very top! Baby Jaguar thinks he can do it and asks Diego to meet him there with his mom. In order for Baby Jaguar to get to the top of the mountain he must climb, reach and jump, jump, jump! As Diego and Mommy Jaguar head to Jaguar Mountain, we learn lots of cool facts about jaguars!
- 11:00 a.m. - "The Mommy Macaw" - Alicia has found a scarlet macaw nest with a little macaw, a baby egg but no Mommy Macaw! Diego sets out to find the mom and bring her back to her nest before her baby egg is born. After rescuing Mommy Macaw from a clay lick, Diego bandages her injured wing and takes her back to her nest. Along the way, they search for food for the babies, stop the Bobos from eating all the bananas, and sing the "vuela" song to help Mommy fly up to her nest.
- 11:30 a.m. - "Rescue of the Red-Eyed Tree Frogs!" - Two little red-eyed tree frogs have fallen in the river and are heading for a waterfall. With Baby Jaguar by his side, Diego heads out to save the tree frogs, first jumping past the Cha-Cha Coconut Trees, and using his suction-cup sticky gloves to climb up a pyramid. Diego reaches the tree frogs and catches them just before they head over the waterfall. Diego returns them to the rainforest where Alicia has found a new home with red-eyed tree frog friends.
- 12:00 p.m. - "Diego Saves Baby Humpback Whale" - A baby humpback whale is beached on a rocky island and can't get back into the ocean! Diego sets off to save the whale, and he runs through a rainforest obstacle course, and swims with Tuga the Leatherback Sea Turtle past jellyfish and sharks. Diego shows the other humpback whales how to make huge waves that lift the baby beached whale into the ocean and back to her mommy!
- 12:30 p.m. - "Pepito's Penguin School" -Diego and Alicia study penguins on Antarctica and Alicia takes off in her yellow submarine to lead them to their new schools. Diego hears a call for help from Pepito, a little penguin chick who got left behind and the two embark on an Antarctic adventure to find Pepito's school. Along the way they meet chinstrap penguins and play "Simon Says" and join the Adelie penguins in a music class. When Pepito swims across an icy lake and finds his penguin school, he also learns he's an Emperor Penguin!
- 1:00 p.m. - "Three Little Condors" -Diego and Alicia have found a Mommy and Daddy Condor for three little condors at the Animal Rescue Center. But condors don't fly at night so they must hurry and find their new Mommy and Daddy before the sun goes down! Diego and Alicia head out with the three little baby condors. Along the way, they have to get past the Bobo Brothers and find a golden butterfly that will lead them up to Condor Cliff. But we better hurry. The sun is going down!
- 1:30 p.m. - "Chito and Rita the Spectacled Bears" (*PREMIERE) - See description above.
